ohhh Toddler
Oooohhhh toddler. Why?
You are sweet, and needy, and growing, and cute, and growing a personality, and for all the independence you want, you still need me. And for all the needing, you are mad when I must set you down. and then you want to keep going on your trike, you want to go around the block like the big kids, and don’t want me to make you come in. and then you want me to hold you while I move about the house. and then you scream because I set you down, and at the same time I ask you if you want to “help me”. You, little toddler. you are puzzling, and at the same time, your antics and idiosyncrasies are summed up in one word, you ARE a TODDLER.
I love you, toddler.

ha ha thanks… that’s actually a couple of months old… the photo is.
Toddlers are intriguing beasts! I am the proud owner of one, and one in waiting, and all of their little antics never cease to make me laugh (or gnash my teeth!) Fun, fun, fun!
yeah, aren’t they, though? and i’m on my third. you’d think i’d have it all figured out by now, but everytime i reach a new “stage” with each of my children, it’s as if i’d suddenly forgotten what it was like the last time around.
