Following Josie
I realize that I frequently post about spending one-on-one time with Jackson, but fail to mention that even yesterday while posting about my trip to the art museum with Jackson, that it was Josephine who I was spending my tuesday with. I really try to spend one-on-one time with all three kids. She had spent the entire long weekend at her dad’s, while the other two kids and I went to Columbus and also to the aquarium in Atlanta… then, they all three spent Memorial Day at their dad’s. So, I felt that Josephine was in serious need of regrouping with mommy, since it had essentially been since Thursday that we’d had a “normal day” in the life of Faye’s household.
I came across some iphone pics that I took two weeks ago on the Wednesday following my finals. I had to run an errand on campus and took Josephine with me. The Armstrong campus is an Arboretum, and thus has several lovely gardens to wander around and enjoy…. but the irony is that every day (i’m sure like all other students) I am in too much of a rush or paranoia over studying etc to actually stop and enjoy the campus. So, the day that Josephine went over there with me, we spent over an hour just walking around, rolling on benches and laying in the grass, smelling flowers, etc… was very nice. Something as simple as watching my little baby girl bat at wet snap dragons just to giggle at the trickly cold water that sprinkled her toes was perfect post-final therapy for me.
