Fire!
Little Miss Thang was throwing a bit of a tantrum this morning as we were all trying to get ready to get out of the house. I think some of the cause was from an abrupt wake-up for all of us this morning. I didn’t sleep well last night, and didn’t wake up until Josephine started crying from her crib, around 7am. Typically, I am up and ready to go by 7:00 and a wail from Josephine to alert me that she’s awake is usually not needed. Not the case this morning.

She followed me into my bathroom, was standing under me/between my legs as I was brushing my teeth, crying with her arms up in the air…. she wanted me to carry her around, but having over slept, I was in a rush to simply get everyone dressed and out. So, she continued to follow me around, wailing…. we went back into the bathroom, and she stopped in her tracks, gave me a swift glare out of the corner of her eyes, and then yanked the stack of folded bath towels onto the floor. I just shook my head, and as she looked at me shaking my head, she grabbed the stack of hand towels and defiantly threw them on the floor too.

It was actually pretty amusing, particularly her facial expression as if she were saying or thinking, “I know this is a no-no, but I’m going to show you I can do it anyway.” However, I held my facial expression. And when I had finished what I was doing, I took her to the towels and instructed her to pick them back up. Ironically, she didn’t complain about that part…. silly kid.
Little people sure are funny!
Good patience mom. The twins gang up on mom here and demand to be held at the most difficult times as well…
