Scotch Eggs and an Ancestral Seance

Mmmmm, want more.
Living life. Yes. I feel much better. Isn’t that what I posted about earlier? Using the weekends when I am free of chillun’s to relax and enjoy life, which hopefully spills into the week. Yoga was cancelled tonight. Caught up with Bartley and we went for a bite and a beer at a Scottish Pub downtown. I’d never been there before, and Bartley being the foodie that he is, surprised me when he said their food was actually pretty good. So, as I had requested when we set out to find a restaurant, “something new and different”, we chose to eat at the Scottish Pub.
Bartley dared me to try a Scotch egg. I’d ever had nor heard of them. He described the hard-boiled egg, wrapped in sausage and fried… I wasn’t certain about it, but decided that I’d go out on a limb and give ‘em a whirl.

chattering on the phone, maybe he's made contact with my clan.
While waiting for the eggs to arrive, I called upon my Scottish ancestors who may have been present in the room and asked them to stand by while I gave some traditional Scottish grub a try.
They were YUM YUM YUMMY. Wow! I may just have to figure out how to make them myself.

ha ha, we even chose to walk down a street that we normally DON'T walk down... hee hee hee, new and different. and as we were walking down this particular street he even commented that it'd been months since he'd walked along it.
In summary, Bartley and I had a nice evening together. Chatting about life, and the usual. We’ve been friends for a very long time now. After dropping him off at his apartment downtown, I reflected on the fact that just that quick I was able to go from stressed to relaxed and living in the present. Just what the doctor ordered.
