so, whenever something controversial comes out I always go to my dad with questions because he is so incredibly insightful, and also a bit of a skeptic… and if the skeptic believes the hysteria then i am more likely to believe it myself….
he is a retired M.D…. HE SAID that he’s been concerned about Plastics for YEARS… he said that he became especially concerned about 20 years ago when the hospital and pharmaceutical companies switched their IV bottles from glass to plastic, that in addition to plastics being used in so many other areas clinically, he has continually been concerned about possible leaching….
so, there you have it, straight from the skeptic’s mouth.
I went to Toys r Us, Wal Mart, and Target…. only BPA free bottles they had were the evenflow basics or evenflow glass…. Went to Burlington Coat Factory/Baby Depot and they had some Born Free and BPA free Dr. Browns. The Born Free they had were only 5 ounces, unless you purchased the big starter box which was like $50, and i wasn’t feeling in the mood to spend $50 on bottles… So I bought a couple of the Dr. Brown’s….
Oh yeah, and all the bottles that were on the unsafe list at Toys R Us, were on Sale! I heard that the super stores will be switching their stock at some point…
Hi Fayezie,
We share your Dad’s concern and have completed in-depth research on toxic plastic ourselves. My sisters and I eventually realized the need for a one-stop, BPA free shopping experience, so we founded The Soft Landing for concerned parents.
I think you’ll find enough BPA/PVC free bottles to meet any need at our store
